  • $75,000-$80,928 for Entry-level UX designers;
  • $90,000-$104,580 for Mid-level UX designers;
  • $110,000-$113,368 for Senior-level UX designers.

But, UX/UI Design salaries are different in every big city in the US. 

For example, in New York City, the estimated total pay for a UX Designer is $111,367 per year, with an average salary of $91,779 per year.

On the other hand, Seattle, WA, has an estimated total pay for a UX Designer of $135,293 per year, with an average salary of $107,063 per year. The gauged salary for a UX Designer in Toronto, Canada, is CA$87,129 per year.

UX/UI Design salaries across Europe also have different scopes. The estimated salary for a UX Designer in London is £53,682 annually. In Berlin, the total pay for a UX Designer goes around €56,746 per year, with an average salary of €53,182 per year.

Finally, the Budapest area offers around HUF 1,200,000 per month (around €30,298) with an average salary of HUF 710,000 (around €1792) per month. The total pay for a UX Designer in Japan is ¥7,700,000 ($59,033) per year in the Tokyo area.

The estimated pay for a UI Designer is $109,466 per year in the Los Angeles, CA area, with a median salary of $89,899 per year. Texas City offers an estimated yearly salary for a UI Designer of around $99,084. In Canada, the estimated UI Designer salary is CA$76,662 per year in the Montreal, QC area.

Let’s see what Europe has to offer. In Hamburg, Germany’s second biggest city, UI designers earn around €2,147 per month.

The estimated salary for a UI Designer in Manchester, England, is around £47,054 per year.

Finally, an average UI designer salary in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, is RON 12,300 (around €2501) per month. 

In South Africa, specifically in the Cape Town area, UI designers have an average salary of ZAR 23,569 ($1369) per month. In Jaipur, Rajasthan, the estimated salary for a UI Designer is ₹40,000 ($490) per month.

In the US, the estimated total pay for a UX/UI Designer is $94,891 per year in Chicago, IL, with an intermediate salary of $87,234 per year. The average salary for a UX-UI Designer in Canada is CA $77,335 per year in Vancouver, BC.

In Munich, the third biggest city in Germany, the estimated total pay for a UX-UI Designer is €53,921 per year. In Dublin, Ireland, UX/UI design salaries estimate at around €42,794 per year.

One of the biggest cities in Eastern Europe is Warsaw in Poland, and it offers the estimated pay for a UX/UI Designer of PLN 13,899 (around € 2951,37) per month. 

In Africa, specifically Johannesburg, UX/UI designers have an average salary of ZAR 39,153 (around $2264) per month.

In the Beijing area in China, UX/UI design salaries average CN¥19,250 ($2837,35) per month. In India, the estimated salary for a UX/UI designer is ₹32,984 ($404) per month in the Calcutta area. 

Finally, Japanese UX/UI designers earn around ¥4,500,000 ($34,519) per year.

Product design roles can include creating new projects or improving existing concepts. In both cases, their job has a massive responsibility. But how much do they get paid?

In the US, the estimated total pay for a Product Designer in San Diego, CA, is $89,540 per year, with an average salary of $76,831 per year. On the other hand, a product designer in San Francisco, California earns an average of $139,092 per year.

In Ottawa, Canada, Product designers have an average salary of CA$89,764 per year.

In the Stuttgart area in Germany, product designers earn around €52,290 per year. As a product designer in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, you’ll get paid around CZK 136,143 per month, which is around a hefty €5700!

Capetown offers an average product design salary of ZAR 42,649 ($2466) per month. The estimated total pay for Product Designers in New Delhi is ₹1,056,461 per year, around $13,000.

Finally, in the Singapore area, the estimated total pay for a Product Designer is SGD 15,000 ($11347) per month, with an average salary of SGD 5,000 ($3782) per month.

Web designer salary

Web design is a modern and highly creative career, perfect for people who excel in visual and creative skills and graphic design.

It has its ups and downs, just like many other designer careers, but it’s still a trendy and highly beneficial career. As we already mentioned, UX/UI design salaries vary from country to country, and web designer salary is no exception. Your level of proficiency and engagement (freelance or full-time) will also significantly impact the salary scope.

The estimated total pay for a web designer in the United States is $64,566 per year, with an average salary of $59,673 per year. In the United Kingdom, web designers can earn around £29,475 per year. 

Conversely, Canada has an estimated total pay of CA $58,058 per year for web designers. 

If we move to Europe, we’ll see that web designers earn around CHF 78,400 (€78,020) in Switzerland. In Spain, the estimated salary for a web designer is €27,836 per year. Moreover, in Moldova, web designers earn as much as MDL 9,000 (€439) per month. 

Web designers in Egypt earn around EGP 4,750 ($160) per month. In contrast, they earn around MYR 7,400 per month in Malaysia, which is $1,727.

UX researcher salary

UX research is one among multiple types of UX jobs. UX researchers’ daily tasks include gathering accurate user information through qualitative and quantitative methods, which is paramount for creating a highly functional UX design. 

UX researcher position is rising in popularity, but where does its salary stand comparing to the other UX/UI design salaries?

As always, let’s start with the USA. In San Francisco, UX researchers earn around $130,870 per year. In Toronto, Canada, UX researchers get around CA $76,359 per year.

The estimated salary for a UX Researcher in London, England, is £51,858 per year, which is high compared to €2,666 per month UX researchers earn in Vienna, Austria.

UX researchers in Japan earn around ¥7,250,000 annually, which is $53,667.

It’s no secret that entry-level UX/UI designers earn less, but the total amount of their paycheck will eventually depend on their additional skills and experience. You’ll have to build your skills to get a bigger salary if you’re a beginner with a low to intermediate understanding of graphic and visual design.
