Should I use serif or sans-serif fonts in UI?

Sans-serif fonts are the go-to for UI design—they're cleaner and easier to read on screens.
Serif fonts can be used for personality or headings, but should be tested for legibility.

  • Sans-serif examples: Inter, Roboto, SF Pro, Outfit

  • Serif examples: Georgia, Times New Roman, Garamond, Playfair Display

  • Use serif fonts sparingly in digital interfaces.
