Can I use Figma on my phone?
Figma is primarily intended for use on a desktop or in a web browser, where you can fully access its design and prototyping capabilities. On a phone, its functionality is limited.
You can use the Figma mobile app to view files and prototypes. This is especially helpful for testing mobile app UIs on an actual device. Interactions work just like in a real app, allowing you to tap through screens and experience your prototype in context.
The app also supports commenting, so you can leave feedback or review designs if a collaborator shares a file with you. This makes it a useful tool for quick reviews or sharing work on the go.
However, designing or making detailed edits on a phone isn’t feasible. The screen is too small to effectively use Figma’s toolset, and the mobile app doesn't offer a full editing interface. Some users try using tablets like iPads for editing via browser, but results vary. On phones, it's best to use Figma strictly for viewing and commenting.
In short, Figma on mobile is a companion tool—great for previewing and quick collaboration, but not suitable for actual design work.
