A bad design brief gives too much freedom to the design process. Having virtually no constraints allows almost complete freedom and doesn’t nudge the designer to use their creativity in the right way.

This challenge is based on an actual project with had with a paying client with real problems and goals! By solving this challenge you can polish your UX and UI skills, write a unique case study for your portfolio, and get in the running for one of our prizes.

To join the challenge, just download the free sample from our Design Challenges Workbook that describes the challenge in detail. You can find the download link in the section above!

Analyze the challenge in front of you, plan your process, and design away! We expect you to deliver a clickable prototype (Figma is our go-to tool, but you can deliver the prototype in any other similar format like Invision or Sketch Cloud) containing the required screens and flows and a short case study explaining your process and decisions.

Use the descriptions, tips, and questions in the free sample challenge to your advantage!

If you get stuck, feel free to join our Slack Community and discuss your process with other designers there!

Once you are done, you can either save this case study and prototype for yourself, or you can submit it for a chance to win one of the prizes we’re giving out if you complete this challenge before Jan 16th, 2022.

To be eligible for a prize, you need to deliver a clickable prototype (Figma is our go-to tool, but you can provide the prototype in any other similar format like Invision or Sketch Cloud) containing the required screens and flows and a short case study explaining your process and decisions.

Our team of senior product designers will go through each eligible submission and they will rate the solutions based on the following factors: UX solution, UI design, and case study presentation.

Ensure that your flows are intuitive, your screens are pixel-perfect, and your case study is short but filled with insights into your process and decisions you made. Present your work in the best light possible! Make sure that you tell the entire story!
