What is the difference between RGB and HEX?

RGB and HEX both represent colors for screens:

RGB stands for Red, Green, Blue. Each color is defined by values from 0 to 255—for example, rgb(255, 0, 0) is pure red (255 red, 0 green, 0 blue).

HEX is a hexadecimal code starting with #, combining red, green, and blue into a 6-character string. #FF0000 also means pure red (FF = 255 in hex).

They’re functionally the same—just different formats. RGB is often used in CSS and prototyping tools, while HEX is popular for web and branding.
